Any potential changes pubs should be aware of:

  • 1st April 2026 - New National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates come into effect 

  • 1st April 2026 - Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) becomes payable from Day 1

  • October 2026 - Stronger anti-harassment laws come into effect - includes third-party harassment (e.g. customers)

  • October 2026 - Tighter tipping legislation comes into effect - builds on the recent tightening of service charge distribution rules
